Question Title What are the wiring requirements for a PRT or PRT-TS thermostat?
All our mains voltage thermostats require a minimum of three wires to successfully operate.

    The configuration is as follows:

  • Live, usually indicated in RED

  • Neutral, normally BLUE in colour

  • Switch Live, identified by the colour YELLOW

Please be aware not all installations follow this standard as your wiring may vary in colour and configuration.

Assuming this is correct in your case, you would wire like this;

Live to L
Neutral to N
Switch to A2
Link from Live to A1

If your thermostat has 4 wires (excluding earth) then you should connect Live to L, Neutral to N and the other two wires to A1, A2

Important Notice:  Standard wiring color codes are not always followed - you must seek advice from a qualified electrician. We accept no responsibility should you you choose to follow these instructions.
